I could not imagine a better realtor than Leatha. We have had some 'good' realtors in the past but Leatha exceeds them all. Being relocated from out of state, buying a home can be challenging but we let Leatha know what we were looking for and she narrowed down our search before going to the city to look. She was involved in every step of the process and was always available to answer any questions or concerns, no matter the day of the week or time of day. And when we had put an offer on a home, it fell through because a major mechanical issue was found during the home inspection, she worked even harder to find another home since time was of the essence. She got us a better deal than we expected on our next purchase agreement. She even made calls to our lender and appraiser to get 'things' sped up as closing neared and not all items were complete. Her communication skills with all parties are impeccable. I don't think I can put into words how thankful we are to have had Leatha as our realtor. My wife and I contacted Leatha at the recommendation of a family friend who works in the real estate industry. We had initially been speaking with an agent who was very friendly but seemed a bit lacking in experience and left us worried about whether she was the right person to help us sell our home. After our first meeting with Leatha I knew we were in good hands. She just exuded competence and professionalism. She offered real insights and honest appraisals. She was friendly and warm but didn't hesitate to direct the conversation or offer a perspective that contradicted ours. She helped us to set realistic expectations while at the same time doing everything in her power to help us maximize the return on our house. We were relocating to another state and had to leave about a week and a half prior to putting it on the market, so we had to rely on her to spearhead everything in Chattanooga. That included meeting with about five different vendors on site (basement cleanup, housecleaning, window repair, stagers, photographer) and she handled it all with aplomb, even when one of them mixed up their appointment date. When it came time to list, her in-depth market analysis helped us to really see the value of our home and set realistic expectations - we thought the floor was too low but that reined us in from blowing past the ceiling with a pipe dream price that would've stalled out our selling process. We listed on a Friday and by COB that night we had five showings scheduled that weekend. We had an offer on Saturday above asking which we accepted. Leatha then guided us through the next process - inspections, appraisals, etc and helped us negotiate favorable terms based on those events. She kept us informed and facilitated all the paperwork electronically since we were out of state. We closed on the closing date, and had a check in our hands two days later, despite being four states away. Everything went smoothly. In conclusion: I simply can't say enough about Leatha - there was never a time during the process where I didn't feel like we had the best real estate agent in the area working for us.
